In newborn babies this congenital diseases are not detected in an external examination and it can be weeks before any symptoms are shown, being too late then to do anything about it. For these reason is very important that all newborn take the tests to detect precociously any congenital diseases. The test consist in a blood extraction from the heel between the 3rd and 6th day of life.

The giant playroom of the Parenting Center buzzed with activity as children took advantage of playing with their peers and siblings as moms, aunts, babysitters and nannies looked on. Then pizza time arrived, complete with party hats. The first Wednesday pizza lunch is a tradition at the center, where birthdays for that month are celebrated by all.
