Toddler swing sets

A mini-park in your backyard

Toddler swing sets come in all shapes, sizes and materials. You can go for a metal swingset or a wooden one, and both are good exercise for your child and even you. If you're really an active family and hope to encourage regular, vigorous exercise in your kids, don't stop there. Several online companies offer entire playground toddler swing sets for purchase. It can get relatively pricey, but if you live in an area with lots of space, the benefits are tremendous. Just think, besides toddler swing sets, you could set up a see saw, trampoline (make sure to have a parent or babysitter present at all times if kids are using it), sand box or even a slide set.

The neighborhood kids will all want to join in the fun, and it's a great opportunity to socialize with other parents. You could even start a co-op playground and all pitch in the funds necessary to pay for such an extravagant miniature park. If you're lacking for lawn space, a basketball hoop set up in the driveway could be just the ticket, and offers even more vigorous exercise, competition and teamwork practice. An active child is a healthy child, and sports tend to bring families together in ways other activities simply don't. Friendly competition and after school meets also allow you to keep any eye on your kid in those sometime difficult hours between school and dinner. Other options contingent upon a spacious backyard are cookouts and camping projects. Those teach your child independence and nature skills.
